With the security of OT environments, such as social infrastructure and production facilities, gaining attention, AhnLab has launched a new product that enhances the capabilities of its special-purpose system security solution, 'AhnLab EPS'.

AhnLab announced on the 7th that it has launched 'AhnLab EPS 2.0,' a security solution dedicated to special-purpose systems such as Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Point of Sales (POS).

AhnLab EPS is a security solution dedicated to special-purpose systems that enhances security by blocking system modifications or unauthorized file execution on Windows-based systems and also provides malware scanning capabilities.

In addition to the existing functions for blocking unauthorized executables and system modifications and malware scanning for Windows systems, AhnLab EPS 2.0 offers enhanced security and management capabilities, including: ▲ malware scanning for Linux-based systems and support for integrated (Windows/Linux) security management; ▲ expanded malware threat detection scope through integration with AhnLab MDS; ▲ advanced emergency inspection mode features that maintain security policies and record reasons for changes even when administrators modify the system; and ▲ improvements to scheduled scans and file scanning. Convenience has been improved.

Personnel in charge of operating special-purpose systems such as production facilities or POS can enhance security with AhnLab EPS 2.0 by maintaining key blocking policies when changing to Windows-based systems and scanning for malware on Linux-based systems.

As a lightweight agent specialized for special-purpose systems, it ensures system availability and continuity, and enables stable security operations even in highly closed environments through features such as scheduled malware scans.
