Recently, the introduction of cargo monitoring systems has been increasing, particularly among major corporations in the import/export logistics market. This is because stable cargo transport management is becoming essential for business sustainability and corporate competitiveness.

Emerson Electric Korea announced on the 11th that it signed an MOU with Tradlinx, Korea's leading import/export logistics platform, to strengthen real-time cargo monitoring services.

Through this MOU, Emerson and Treadlings will further strengthen Emerson's 'GO Real-Time Tracker' and Treadlings' monitoring system 'ShipGo'. From the very first stage of import/export operations, we provide more precise and advanced monitoring services to help customers secure international competitiveness and develop export markets.

Emerson provides location information for all inland areas except sea areas through device-based GSM technology, and its collaboration with Tredlings, which provides real-time location information for vessels through AIS tracking technology, is expected to produce synergy.

This agreement allows customers to easily monitor their export cargo and, when pre-equipped with GO Real-Time Trackers, experience door-to-door real-time cargo monitoring services from the warehouse to the consignor.

Additionally, cargo delays throughout the entire export and import process can be predicted in advance, enabling comprehensive and systematic cargo management across all export and import operations, including contacting the cargo hub to check the situation when a delay occurs.

“In the IoT era, real-time cargo tracking is no longer an option but a necessity in the logistics industry,” said Kim Min-han, vice president of Emerson’s Cargo Solutions business unit. “We plan to expand our cooperation to include air cargo solutions in addition to maritime cargo in the future.”
