Cypress Korea (CEO Young-do Lim, www.cypress.com ) announced that Sysgration Ltd., a famous Taiwanese PC peripheral OEM/ODM manufacturer, has selected Cypress's 2.4-GHz WirelessUSB-NL™ radio-on-a chip for its “U” and “W” wireless presenter series.

In addition, Sysgration will use Cypress's enCoRe™ II microcontrollers for presenters and complementary USB dongles. Sysgration selected the WirelessUSB-NL over competitors due to its low power consumption, extended operating range, and excellent interference immunity.

WirelessUSB-NL features very low active and standby currents (less than 1 uA) and has a closed-loop wireless architecture that minimizes signal frequency drift, reducing the need for retransmission.
These features enable the presenter to be powered for three years on two AA batteries. Additionally, the device features a receive sensitivity of -87dBm, Forward Error Correction (FEC), and data whitening. As a result, the WirelessUSB-NL solution offers industry-leading interference resistance and a range of up to 30 meters.
