Desktop 3D printing company Ultimaker is providing free support for applications utilizing 3D printing technology in hospitals due to the spread of COVID-19.

The Ultimaker Network informs hospital medical staff and administrators of the locations of 3D printing rooms near the hospital, and the 3D printing rooms provide related support, such as printing medical parts most needed by the hospital, with Ultimaker and local 3D printing experts and designers.

Hospitals requiring only a 3D printing room and parts output
Hospitals with designs that have already proven printability and parts with verified available material specifications can directly request printing from 3D printer experts in nearby areas.

Ultimaker supports printing on 3D printing equipment owned within the company, and hospital administrators can check the location of nearby 3D printing rooms where printing is possible through a continuously updated map.


A hospital that requires everything from parts design to output
Hospitals requiring the design of parts or tools that are currently in limited supply can receive assistance from a team of Ultimaker designers and application engineers to design and manufacture the missing parts.

The requested part is It is printed at the nearest 3D printing facility and delivered to the hospital as soon as possible. Once the part is approved for use by the hospital, it is also provided by other 3D printing production facilities.
