ASUS Launches Hangouts Meet Hardware Kit for Video Conferencing
Can focus on up to 250 people within a 23㎡ area at 120°
Equipped with 720p HD output and 4K image capture function


With free movement restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ASUS launched the video conferencing system 'ASUS Hangouts Meet Hardware Kit (HMK)' on the 26th.

With ASUS HMK, Google G Suite Enterprise users can hold meetings with up to 100,000 people using the Livestream Hangouts Meet feature.

The ASUS HMK is equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor and a touch-based screen control panel. You can give presentations or share content via the control panel's HDMI port. It can also be connected to other display devices via USB 3.1 Type C and utilize all software on the Android OS.

The 4K UHD resolution camera covers an area of 23㎡ with ultra-high-definition video featuring a 120-degree field of view, ensuring that everyone is included in the frame. Based on machine learning, the auto-zoom function minimizes empty spaces and automatically focuses on the faces of up to 250 meeting participants. With a 4K image capture function for 720p HD output, the camera can zoom up to 4x without loss of image quality, and the video resolution is 720p.

It features an integrated speaker microphone with echo cancellation and noise suppression technology, ensuring that everyone can hear and transmit clear sound. As a single unit, it requires no external power, allowing for easy call setup anywhere, and multiple speakers can be daisy-chained to deliver extended sound across large spaces such as conference rooms.

You can conduct meetings securely without external exposure by transmitting security codes only to selected individuals via dial-in numbers and PINs. Security is maintained up to date through updates to the built-in security program.
