u-blox's multiband low power wide area (LPWA) UBX R5 chipset platform has completed the chipset validation process for use on AT&T's LTE M network for IoT and has received certification.

Featuring end-to-end device security, data security, and access control management, this chipset is a cellular chipset platform supporting LPWA LTE M and NB IoT technologies and is optimized for IoT applications such as smart metering, telematics, asset tracking, security systems, building automation, smart lighting solutions, and connected health.
The UBX R5 provides superior built-in end-to-end security by integrating a hardware-based Root of Trust (RoT) into a distributed security element that complies with EAL5+ High level Common Criteria certification.

Additionally, the platform integrates eSIM functionality, enabling customer SIM activation and subscription management options, and implementing core features of 3GPP Release 14.
