Agilent, a global measurement specialist, announced that it will appoint Vice President Yoon Deok-kwon, Head of Technical Support for Korea and the South Asia Pacific region, as the new CEO and President of Agilent Korea on the 1st of next month.

Agilent is the world's leading measurement company in the fields of electronics and communications, chemical analysis, and life sciences. It consists of three business units: the Electronic Instruments, Life Sciences, and Chemical Analysis divisions, and recorded $6.6 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2011.
Newly appointed President Yoon Deok-kwon holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Sogang University. He worked as a researcher at Goldstar Electric (now LIG Nex1) in 1982 before joining HP in 1987. Since Agilent Korea was spun off from HP in 1999, he has accumulated diverse and extensive experience by serving in key positions in domestic sales for the Electronic Instruments business unit and technical support for the Asian region.
Former President Kim Seung-yeol joined HP in 1984, served as CEO for seven years from 2006 to 2012, and will retire on October 31.
