With the proliferation of cloud computing driving a surge in data traffic, 400G Ethernet is a key technology for addressing this growing traffic. Consequently, portable 400G testers are in demand to support the installation and maintenance of 400G Ethernet networks.

Anritsu began sales of the "Network Master Pro MT1040A," a tester for 400G networks, on the 23rd.

Ideal for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communications networks and data centers, the MT1040A is a portable tester that evaluates the communication quality of networks operating at speeds from 10 Mbps to 400 Gbps. Equipped with FEC (Always-On Forward Error Correction) analysis function, it can evaluate the communication quality of optical modules such as QSFP-DD and the performance of 400G devices.

Supports evaluation of Ethernet, OTN, eCPRI/RoE/CPRI/OBSAI, Fibre Channel, and SDH/SONET networks using BER, throughput, frame loss, and delay intervals of mixed networks based on the latest optical and early digital communication standards.

The MT1040A, designed for telecommunications operators and network installation and maintenance companies, can be equipped with the optional MU100020A/MU100021A/MU100022A/MU100023A OTDR modules simultaneously to support fault measurement at the fiber optic fault point.

For remote work and pass/fail evaluations in multiple tests, the one-button automatic test function using Anritsu's SORA Internet service has also been incorporated to improve on-site testing efficiency.
