U+ to Offer "DX Platform" for Remote IoT Network Authentication

LG Uplus announced on the 28th that it is providing a digital transformation (DX) platform that improves the network authentication process for IoT devices.

Network authentication is an essential procedure for addressing protocol issues that may arise between terminals and networks before IoT solutions that link with a mobile carrier's network are commercialized.
Until now, it took IoT terminal manufacturers a long time to prepare a test environment, identify the cause of a problem when it occurred, and resolve it, so it took an average of 1 to 2 months for each telecommunications company to obtain IoT network certification.
When utilizing the DX platform, the network certification period is shortened to less than one week, and the progress and results of the certification process can be checked on the website.
LG U+ provides an emulator program and its source code, which replicates the functionality of the terminals, communication modules, oneM2M platform, and service servers that comprise IoT services and allows for testing in a realistic environment. The emulator program consists of three components: terminals, service servers, and end-to-end (E2E) components.
Network consistency testing also becomes easier. LG U+ plans to install PCT (Protocol Conformance Test) equipment exclusively for manufacturers by October, which can automatically check whether base stations and network equipment are properly connected and the level of impact.
It also reduces development costs for the Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) feature, which allows for remote wireless upgrades of embedded firmware in IoT devices. LG U+ is providing a free firmware remote upgrade platform to reduce the development costs and server deployment burden required to implement FOTA.
Meanwhile, oneM2M is an international standard that provides requirements, architecture, API specifications, security solutions, and interoperability for IoT technology. LG U+ is currently offering a commercial IoT platform based on oneM2M, certified by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) of Korea.

맥심 인터그레이티드 코리아는 22일, 듀얼 Arm Cortex-M4 프로세서를 탑재한 MAX32666 MCU를 출시했다. MAX32666은 FPU를 갖춘 애플리케이션 처리 전용 프로세서, 센서 허브로 작동하는 별도 프로세서, 독립형 BLE 5.2 MCU, PMIC를 통합했다. 3.8mm × 4.2mm의 WLP 패키지 제품으로 보드 차지 공간도 줄인다.

LS Cable & System Launches Cable with Transmission Distance Limit Extended to 200m

European Patent Applications Surpass 200,000 for the First Time… South Korea Maintains 5th Place, Led by Batteries and Telecommunications

SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK텔레콤이 3월 21일 서울 광화문 일대에서 열린 대형 K-팝 공연에 AI 기반 네트워크 운영 시스템을 처음 적용해 통신 품질을 관리했다고 밝혔다. 공연 전후 3시간 동안 모바일 데이터 사용량은 12.15TB로 직전 주말 같은 시간대보다 약 2배 늘었다. SK텔레콤은 AI 시스템 ‘A-One’을 활용해 5분 단위, 50m 단위로 트래픽을 감시하며 과부하 가능성에 대응했고, 임시 통신 시설과 현장 인력 운영도 병행했다. 밀집 행사와 외국인 이용 수요가 동시에 늘어나는 환경에서 AI 기반 자율 네트워크 운영의 현장 적용 가능성을 확인한 사례로 해석된다.
