According to the report , 'Worldwide IT Automation and Configuration Management Software Market Shares, 2019: Market Expands Ahead of Coronavirus Impact' published by IDC, VMware has an 8% lead over the second-place company.P leads the market by a wide margin, achieving the No. 1 market share in the global IT automation and configuration management software sector for three consecutive years.

According to the report, investments in private, hybrid, public, and multi-cloud, when combined with automation, can deliver higher return on investment (ROI) and accelerate business outcomes.

IDC analyzed, “VMware is strategically focusing on its management portfolio, including expanding R&D investments in vRealize Suite and vCloud Suite to help enterprises lower their total cost of ownership (TCO) across data center, desktop, network, security, communications, and storage products.”
