New ThinkPad L·E Business Laptops Launched

Laptops equipped with AMD CPUs are rapidly increasing in number.

Lenovo Korea launched new 'ThinkPad L and E series' business laptops equipped with the AMD 4000 series processor, known by the codename Renoir, on the 26th.

The AMD 4000 series processors, featured in the entry-level business laptops ThinkPad L and E series, are manufactured using a 7nm process. Compared to the 3000 series, performance per clock has improved by 15% and performance per graphics unit by 59%, while SoC power consumption has decreased by 20%.

The ThinkPad L14 and L15 are equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro mobile processor, 1TB PCIe SSD storage, and 64GB of DDR4 memory. AMD Radeon Vega graphics are included as the GPU. The FHD wide viewing angle display supports a maximum brightness of 250 nits, and a touchscreen option is also available.

The ThinkPad E14 and E15 are equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage, and 24GB of DDR4 memory. They feature AMD Radeon graphics. The E14 is suitable for portability due to its thin profile (17.9mm) and light weight (1.59kg), while the E15 is suitable for office work thanks to its built-in numeric keypad.

Both series are equipped with a 45Whr battery, allowing for up to 12 hours of use for the L series and up to 13 hours for the E series on a full charge. The physical camera cover, 'ThinkShutter,' prevents privacy exposure, and the L series, in particular, supports convenient and secure booting with a fingerprint reader.
