Palo Alto Networks announced on the 29th that it has launched 'Prisma Cloud 2.0', which includes four cloud security modules.
Prisma Cloud secures multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments and cloud-native applications by integrating security across the entire DevOps lifecycle.

This new product integrates the technology of Aporeto, a micro-segmentation specialist company acquired last year, into the existing Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud. The newly added Prisma Cloud modules are as follows:

Data Security
It provides data loss prevention capabilities and enables search, classification, and malware detection for AWS S3. Companies in industries subject to various regulations can use "Data Security" to meet compliance requirements when migrating to the cloud. Additionally, by integrating with cloud security features, it provides important contextual information on real-world cloud threats related to data exposure.


Web Application and API Security
Protects web applications against OWASP's top 10 threats, including Layer 7 attacks, command injection, and authentication vulnerabilities. Integration with Agent Framework, an existing Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), is possible.

Identity-based microsegmentation
The robust cloud network security capabilities integrated after the acquisition of Aporeto provide end-to-end visibility into network communications and comprehensive security policy and management. Aporeto technology identifies workloads and applies microsegmentation across all infrastructure, enabling customers to secure applications at scale.

Identity Access Management Security
Cloud infrastructure permission management provides visibility into who has access to specific cloud resources and automatically establishes a least privilege access system to secure resources.

With this update, Prisma Cloud adds Cloud Network Security and Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management, securing offerings across all four CNSP areas and solidifying its position as the industry's only truly cloud-native security platform.
