Dassault Systèmes announced on the 4th that it has released 'SolidWorks 2021', the latest version of its 3D design and engineering application SolidWorks.

SOLIDWORKS 2021 has improved functions and workflows, including design, documentation, data management, and verification, to enhance work productivity. In addition, it has strengthened collaboration capabilities by integrating the entire manufacturing process—from concept and product design to analysis, data management, and production—with the cloud-based solution portfolio '3DEXPERIENCE WORKS'.

In addition, it efficiently supports part and assembly design, product installation, drawing work, graphic representation, and data management, enabling faster and more streamlined file operations and workflows. Through this, users can enjoy key features such as more simplified assembly, more flexible part design, more robust simulation, enhanced user experience, and assembly modeling.

3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS, a special edition of SOLIDWORKS fully integrated with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, is available in three packages: Standard, Professional, and Premium, which are similar in concept to the desktop version.

With this update, all 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS users can always utilize the latest version and easily leverage advanced applications in the 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS portfolio. 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS provides cloud-based industrial design and mechanical engineering capabilities, including mobile device optimization, automation features, and remote collaboration functions.

Therefore, existing SolidWorks users can easily access the platform by enabling efficient collaboration, as they can use not only the SolidWorks desktop applications they are already familiar with but also the cloud services of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

In addition, data management functions are built-in to optimize design-related data management and support automatic updates of software and data.
