Expanding Support Businesses with the LS Techsquare Platform


On the 5th, LS Electric invited representatives of 14 partner companies, including SG MD and Hyein Electric, who are eligible for support for building smart factories in 2020, to the LS Electric Cheongju Business Cooperation Center located in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, and signed an agreement for the '2020 Smart Factory Construction Support Project for Large and Small Businesses.'

LS Electric supports the establishment of customized smart factories for each company through close mentoring for approximately 80 companies, including 14 partner companies and 60 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This includes establishing roadmaps optimized for each company, matching with optimal suppliers, and providing ongoing consulting.

Kim Jae-sook, CEO of SGMD, who attended the event, said, “We have always felt the need for smart factories, but we have always had many concerns about how to get started,” and added, “With this support, we have taken the first step toward building a smart factory, so we will work with determination to strengthen our business competitiveness.”

Meanwhile, LS Electric is operating 'Tech Square,' a collaborative smart factory platform, to support the smooth construction of smart factories. Techsquare is an open platform where anyone, including demanders, suppliers, and industry-academia experts, can freely participate, providing customized services such as ▲demand-supply company matching ▲lifecycle mentoring ▲project management ▲maintenance services.

Unlike traditional approaches that provide solutions in bulk, this platform analyzes customer data and matches them with the optimal companies in each field, reducing deployment costs. Furthermore, specialized companies in each field provide customized information and solutions tailored to the smart factory lifecycle, from initial implementation through implementation and maintenance, in the form of mentoring.

Since its launch, TechSquare has been utilized by over 250 small and medium-sized manufacturing companies.
