Mouser to Supply ADI Sensor Front Ends
Provides 8 input channels with multiple operation modes

Mouser Electronics announced today that it is now stocking Analog Devices' (ADI) ADPD4100 and ADPD4101 multi-mode sensor front ends.

Both front ends feature eight input channels with multiple operating modes, making them suitable for measuring a variety of sensors. Flexible input multiplexing supports both single-ended and differential sensor measurements. Optical filters and external control DC rejection circuits are eliminated, eliminating distortion and signal offset caused by asynchronous modulation interference.

The two front ends, which require a 1.8V analog core and 1.8V and 3.3V compatible digital input/output, can drive up to four LED drivers simultaneously, making them suitable for heart rate/blood pressure monitoring.

Mouser also offers an evaluation board for both front ends, the EVAL-ADPD4100Z-PPG. It features three separately driven green LEDs, one red LED, and one infrared LED, and implements a simple optical design for evaluating biosignal monitoring applications.

The EVAL-ADPD4100Z-PPG board provides low-level register access and high-level system configuration capabilities using the Wavetool evaluation software GUI. Engineers can also use the EVAL-ADPDUCZ processor board to connect to a PC via USB or Bluetooth for data logging and programming.
