3D inspection setup possible without separate programming
On the 13th, Cognex launched the 'In-Sight 3D-L4000', an industrial vision system that supports cost-effective, wide-ranging 3D inspection by equipping a smart camera with 3D laser displacement technology.
The InSight 3D-L4000 is an all-in-one solution that combines speckle-free blue laser optics and true 3D vision tools with the Cognex InSight spreadsheet environment.
The Insight 3D-L4000 enables users to capture high-quality 3D images in automated production facilities and perform various inspections quickly and accurately.
It provides a full set of 3D vision tools for inspection, so inspection can be performed directly in true 3D space, and borrows the concept of 2D vision tools so that anyone can use it easily.
Users can place vision tools directly on a true 3D image of a part, increasing inspection accuracy compared to traditional systems, expanding the types of inspections they can perform, and instantly seeing how vision tools work on actual parts or components.
Intuitive Cognex GreetingsThe Insight 3D-L4000, which offers a spreadsheet interface, allows for quick and easy setup and execution of 3D inspections without any additional programming. Utilizing a suite of input/output and communication functions, it simplifies application development and enables integrated optimization in the factory.
Additionally, the ability to combine 2D and 3D vision tools within the same application facilitates faster deployment in real-world production environments. The vision system is suitable for inspection across a wide range of industries, including consumer goods, food and beverage, automotive, packaging, medical devices, and electronics.
