ROHM Unveils 32-bit DAC Chip 'BD34301EKV'
Built-in FIR filter with customization support

On the 4th, ROHM began general sales of the 'BD34301EKV' 32-bit digital-to-analog converter IC (DAC chip) for high-quality audio devices that play high-resolution sound sources, and the 'BD34301EKV-EVK-001' evaluation board.

The BD34301EKV is a DAC chip belonging to the 'ROHM MUS-IC™ series', and provides a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 130dB and a total harmonic distortion (THD+N) of -115dB, making it suitable for high-quality audio devices.

Additionally, it achieves a stop band attenuation of less than -150dB, while a customizable FIR filter is built in, allowing for sound quality tuning unique to the manufacturer.

ROHM's new DAC chip has been adopted in a dual configuration in the flagship SACD/CD player 'D-10X' from Japanese high-end audio equipment manufacturer LUXMAN.

The BD34301EKV went on sale in December 2020 at a sample price of 9,000 yen (excluding VAT). Samples and the BD34301EKV-EVK-001 can be purchased starting from 1 unit through the ROHM official website, and will be available for purchase through distribution channels such as Digi-Key and Mouser starting in March.
