Cypress WirelessUSB-NL adopted as a turnkey module for the China ITON wireless mouse
Cypress Korea (CEO Young-do Lim, www.cypress.com ) announced that ITON Technology (ITON Technology, Ltd./ www.sziton.com ), a famous Chinese manufacturer of PC peripherals and components, has selected Cypress's 2.4-GHz WirelessUSB-NL™ radio-on-a chip for the complete module of its wireless mouse.
This module includes firmware that provides a turnkey solution for building customers' end-products. The low power consumption of the WirelessUSB-NL solution enables the module to operate the mouse for up to three years on two AA batteries. The WirelessUSB-NL also offers a long operating range of up to 20 meters. Furthermore, the ITON module integrates a sensor and Cypress's enCoRe™ V low-voltage companion microcontroller to provide a complete solution for wireless mice, and uses the enCoRe II microcontroller for the USB dongle.
Cypress's Wireless USB-NL device features very low active and standby currents (less than 1 uA) and has a closed-loop wireless architecture that minimizes signal frequency drift for very robust wireless performance. In addition, this solution utilizes a receive sensitivity of -87 dBm for a longer operating range. With the powerful interference prevention capabilities of Cypress’s WirelessUSB-NL technology, WirelessUSB-NL devices deliver superior performance against interference from WiFi, Bluetooth, cordless phones, microwave ovens, and other common sources operating in the 2.4-GHz range.
"Cypress's WirelessUSB-NL solution delivers exceptional performance to ITON modules while providing low power consumption along with excellent immunity to RF interference. In addition, Cypress's technical support team collaborated to accelerate development and shorten time-to-market," said Wang Kang, Director of the 2.4-Ghz Wireless Market at ITON.
"The ITON module provides a complete solution for wireless mice by utilizing a combination of Cypress's WirelessUSB-NL and enCoRe products. This design demonstrates industry-leading battery life, noise immunity, and the expanded scope of Cypress's portfolio for HID (Human Input Devices)," said Lim Young-do, General Manager of Cypress Korea.
WirelessUSB-NL is complemented by Cypress’s enCoRe™ II and enCoRe V low-voltage, highly integrated microcontrollers, providing manufacturers with a single source of supply and support capabilities. WirelessUSB-NL also supports Cypress’s AgileHID™ protocol, which enables existing WirelessUSB customers to quickly launch their designs without any additional effort.
