December 18, 2012 – CSR announced that it has entered into a license agreement to support its IPS™ Universal Print Interpreter software for HP printers and multifunction printers (MFP), and all-in-one (AIO) product lines.

This license agreement was concluded based on the trust built through HP's long-term use of CSR IPS printing language technology. The newly provided CSR IPS Universal Print Interpreter software is the industry's only commercial solution that supports all standard printing languages such as PostScript, PDF, PCL 5, PCL 6, and XPS.

The IPS Universal Print Interpreter solution is used in selected HP LaserJet and OfficeJet printers to reliably process print jobs sent from various existing sources including Apple's AirPrint™ and Google's Cloud Print™, desktop and graphic arts applications, ERP systems, and engineering applications.

The CSR IPS Interpreter product family supports all standard PDL (Page Description Language) through a universal interpreter architecture. The IPS Interpreter has established itself as the most widely adopted PDL interpreter in the printer market based on its high compatibility with HP printers. By utilizing this, printer manufacturing OEM companies can easily produce high-performance color and monochrome printers capable of printing complex and graphics-rich documents without data loss.
