VMware Announces Three New Multicloud Services

In today's evolving cloud and application environment, Chief Information Officers (CIOs) of each company are seeking efficient ways to utilize multi-cloud.

On the 2nd, VMware held an online press conference and unveiled three new services that support companies' introduction of multi-cloud and deployment of container-based applications: ▲'VMware Cloud Universal' (hereinafter Universal), ▲'VMware Cloud Console' (hereinafter Console), and ▲'VMware App Navigator' (hereinafter App Navigator).

Universal is a subscription service that simplifies the purchase and use of multi-cloud infrastructure and management services provided by VMware Cloud. Console is an integrated portal service that allows you to monitor and manage all environments where VMware Cloud infrastructure is built from a single point. App Navigator is an application portfolio analysis service.

Universal, ideal for customers looking to take advantage of hybrid cloud, provides the flexibility and mobility required when adopting multi-cloud. If you purchase Universal Credits, you can build on-premises 'VMware Cloud Foundation' (hereinafter Foundation), 'VMware Cloud on AWS', 'VMware Cloud on Dell EMC', etc. You can convert VMware product licenses that you are already using to Universal Credits.

Universal has built-in the 'VMware Tanzu' standard edition that supports easy Kubernetes deployment and operation in a multi-cloud environment, and supports SaaS-based multi-cloud management through 'VMware vRealize Cloud Universal'. VMware provides comprehensive support such as planning, continuous guidance, and design workshops for customers' successful cloud experiences through 'VMware Success 360'.

The console provides end-to-end visibility and control of all VMware Cloud infrastructure. As a unified portal to allocate, manage, and optimize all resources on VMware Cloud, customers can redeem credits, provision Universal Offering deployments, and request support from their VMware organization.

App Navigator is an application portfolio analysis service that uses automated tools and technologies to help customers quickly build modern application environments that align with their business and IT goals with minimal risk.
