LG CNS and AhnLab Sign MOU for Cloud Security Business
Development of cloud-specific security packages and technologies

LG CNS announced on the 18th that it signed a business agreement with AhnLab for "cloud security business cooperation" at the LG CNS headquarters in Magok on Friday, April 16th. Under this agreement, the two companies will jointly pursue cloud security initiatives, including: developing a cloud-specific security package; collaborating on cloud security technologies; and collaborating on business proposals and promotions.
LG CNS, which currently operates its own smart security control center, conducts real-time 24/7 monitoring of its clients' networks, terminals, and websites. Recently, the company became the first company in Korea to receive certification in the "Security Engineering" category from Amazon Web Services (AWS)'s "Cloud Security Competency Certification," further demonstrating its expertise in public cloud security.

AhnLab, an information security specialist, has been acquiring threat intelligence (TI), which is data analyzing security threat factors such as types of malware and intrusion routes for over 20 years. Additionally, the company recently established a cloud business division and launched its own cloud security solution, AhnLab CPP (Cloud Protection Platform).

LG CNS and AhnLab plan to strengthen cloud security synergy through the exchange of expert personnel.

The two companies presented a collaborative scenario between LG CNS's Red Team, comprised of white hat hackers, and AhnLab's Security Response Center (ASEC), which detects and responds to malware. The two organizations will conduct simulated intrusions into customer cloud systems, proactively identify security vulnerabilities, and proactively develop solutions to address security threats to defend customer clouds.

Hyun Shin-kyun, Vice President of LG CNS's Digital Technology Innovation (DTI) division, said, "Security is the number one concern for customers adopting the cloud," and added, "We will provide a cloud security service that customers can trust and rely on together with security expert AhnLab."

“Security optimized for cloud environments is not an option, but a necessity,” said AhnLab CEO Kang Seok-gyun. “We will provide a secure cloud environment by combining AhnLab’s cloud security expertise and LG CNS’s cloud security service know-how.”
