Easy to design Arm SoCs suitable for Samsung Foundry


As SemiFive, which provided RISC-V semiconductor design platforms, begins supporting the Arm architecture widely used in various fields, specialized processing SoC design work by domestic fabless companies is expected to gain momentum.

On the 20th, Arm announced that semiconductor design solution provider SEMIFIVE has joined the Arm ecosystem. Moving forward, SEMIFIVE plans to accelerate the utilization of application-optimized custom SoC designs built on Arm technology.

SemiFive has access to Arm IP, including Cortex®-A, Cortex-R, and Cortex-M CPUs, Mali™ GPUs, and Ethos™ NPUs, as well as various system and subsystem IPs. By utilizing the Semi-Five platform SoC solution combined with Samsung Foundry's advanced process technology, customers are expected to reduce costs, shorten time-to-market, and lower development risks when implementing custom semiconductors for specialized processing.
