
The LTC6090 is optimized for both designs involving high-impedance inputs and designs sensitive to leakage current. In addition to the standard SO-8 package with exposed pads, the LTC6090 is also available in a TSSOP package with guard pins. This allows the guard ring to be easily routed around the input, providing complete enclosure.
Thermal performance is a challenge for all space-constrained high-voltage systems. The LTC6090 was designed with this challenge in mind. The power supply current is only 3.9 mA. The output current is ±10 mA typ. The thermal flag pin (TFLAG) signals when the device junction temperature exceeds 145°C. This pin can be connected to Output Disable for active thermal management. The TSSOP-16 and SOIC-8 package versions include exposed pads that can minimize thermal resistance.
