The Nano Korea Organizing Committee announced on the 2nd that at 'Nano Korea 2021' held at KINTEX Hall 1 in Ilsan from the 7th to 9th of this month, it will provide a non-contact remote visit service that allows overseas buyers to tour the exhibition hall via video call with a personal guide and receive consultations—a Remote Guide Tour, also known as an avatar service.

This service was prepared to introduce promising Korean nano technology products and technologies to overseas buyers who face difficulties visiting domestically, thereby helping Korea's promising nano companies pioneer export pathways. While most existing exhibitions provided passive matching services by displaying exhibiting companies' products and technologies in online booth formats on homepages, Nano Korea has shifted to an active service that allows buyers to find exhibiting companies with a sense of presence at the venue and conclude contracts.

The avatar service conducted through PortRemote's platform, headquartered in Singapore, enables overseas buyers to tour the exhibition hall in real-time using smart devices alongside a professional interpreter guide waiting at the venue, move to desired locations, and connect with exhibiting company representatives for real-time conversations. The platform includes remote camera control, real-time guide location verification, remote photo capture, and screenshot functionality, providing the same effect as an in-person visit by enabling business card exchanges with exhibiting companies and on-site documentation.

The Nano Korea Organizing Committee confirmed through a UK buyer that using the avatar service can reduce time and costs by 90% compared to direct participation in the exhibition.

Overseas buyers can select their desired Nano Korea non-contact exhibition viewing booth through the PortRemote pre-registration link. The Organizing Committee educates guides in advance for effective consultations and transfers information desired by buyers to the guides beforehand.

Nano Korea is composed of exhibits including CNT that enhances electric vehicle battery efficiency, graphene as a magical new material, eco-friendly nano cellulose, BNNT that will change the paradigm of future industries, nano-based smart sensors connecting IoT and Industry 4.0, nano measurement and analysis equipment that analyzes viruses and semiconductor particles, the nano technology world presented by Samsung and LG, Korean nano technology R&D projects, Korea's top 5 nano technology government-funded research institutes, and Korean nano technology policies and infrastructure support systems.
