Universal Robots Signs MOU with Robot Campus in January

In a situation where there is no national certification system for robot operation, a certificate that can be used internationally has been issued in Korea for the first time. Universal Robots announced on the 5th that it held the first certificate awarding ceremony through the Certification Education Center at the Korea Polytechnic University Robot Campus.

The Robot Campus, which signed a business agreement with Universal Robots for a certification training center last January, opened in March with the goal of professionally training personnel in convergence production technology for the robotics field. It offers majors in mechanical engineering, electronics, automation, and IT for the manufacturing and operation of robots.

"The agreement with Robot Campus holds special significance as it is the first business agreement with a university in Asia," said Lee Nae-hyung, CEO of Universal Robots Korea. "We will spare no support to help it establish itself as a mecca for fostering professional robot talent in the future."

Universal Robots operates 13 certified training centers across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, including Korea. Currently, due to COVID-19, in-person training is conducted with a limited number of participants based on advance registration. Further details can be found on the website .
