The new LM10011 is the industry's first VID controller capable of regulating core voltage (VCORE) of VID-capable processors such as TI's C6000™ power-optimized DSP and Keystone multicore DSP when operating with POL (point-of-load) regulators. The LM10011 enables TI DSPs in wireless infrastructure applications to maximize power savings, reducing power consumption. It also achieves the industry's best 1% output accuracy and enables output current adjustment during startup. The LM10011 VID controller is an affordable and easy-to-use solution operating with an input voltage range of 2.97V to 5.5V. Additionally, it can be used with all POL regulators featuring feedback nodes, such as TI's high-performance 15A LM21215 and 25A TPS56221 synchronous buck regulators. Moreover, with 16 pin-programmable current output options during startup, the DSP VCORE can be powered up at various voltages, achieving high system flexibility and excellent reliability.
