LG Uplus announced on the 3rd that it has installed an air quality diagnosis solution that manages air emissions in real time at chemical plants including LG Chemical. The solution, which combines Uplus’ 5G and LTE wireless networks, makes it easy to install various measuring devices and sensors, and provides real-time monitoring of the concentration of air pollutants emitted from plants and the spread of pollutants.

The U+ Smart Factory Air Quality Diagnostic Solution immediately gives an alarm when substances that stimulate the sense of smell, such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and volatile organic compounds, occur inside or outside the workplace. In addition, the Air TMS (remote monitoring system) transmits pollutant data such as dust, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, and carbon monoxide emitted from chimneys to the Environmental Corporation in real time.

Meanwhile, the U+ Smart Factory solution has been preemptively installed in affiliates such as LG Chem to support efficient factory operation in areas such as safety, production, and facilities as well as the environment.
