At the World 5G Congress held in Beijing on September 1, the Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China announced that 993,000 5G base stations have been activated in China.

It was also mentioned that there are over 392 million 5G terminals in more than 95% of counties and districts and 35% of towns and towns.

Following this, Yu Yulin of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the 5G terminal market continues to expand, with cumulative domestic 5G mobile phone shipments exceeding 150 million units from January to July this year, and that the price of 5G mobile phones has already dropped below 1,000 yuan.

Along with this, Song Qizhu, Chairman of China Broadcasting, stated at the event that broadcasting would also promote the convergence of 5G and traditional cable TV and take the lead in disseminating 5G ultra-high-definition broadcasting.
