ST Announces GSMA-Certified 'ST4SIM' SIM/eSIM
Providing wireless network services for various IoT devices
Supports industry-standard form factor and chip size package options


STMicroelectronics announced on the 10th that it is launching online 'ST4SIM', an eSIM (embedded SIM) IC for M2M (Machine-to-Machine) applications.

ST's industrial eSIM provides all the services necessary to connect IoT devices to wireless networks. It is suitable for applications such as equipment condition monitoring and predictive maintenance, asset tracking, energy management, and connected healthcare devices.

In addition, using eSIM allows for remote management of SIM profiles in accordance with GSMA specifications, enabling customers to change connectivity providers without accessing the device.

It is GSMA certified and manufactured at ST’s GSMA SAS-UP certified facilities located in Europe and Southeast Asia. ST also supports customers in using the device onboarding and service provisioning platform provided by Truphone.

With ST’s ‘B-L462E-CELL1’, an ST4SIM-based discovery kit, you can test and evaluate all product features pre-integrated into a complete ecosystem.

The new product is supplied in the industry-standard MFF2 5mm × 6mm DFN8 Wettable Flank package. It is available for purchase at the ST eStore, and other package options, including the Ultra Small Wafer Level Chip Size Package (WLCSP), can also be ordered.
