Dassault Systèmes will showcase innovative medical technologies utilizing virtual twins at CES 2022.

Dassault Systèmes announced that it will participate in CES 2022, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 5 to 8, 2022, to introduce innovative medical technologies and applications utilizing a virtual twin of the human body.

Dassault Systèmes will utilize volumetric lighting techniques to create virtual twin images of event participants' bodies on-site, showcasing next-generation life sciences technologies that can visualize, test, and predict the entire treatment process, including the effects of drugs on diseases and surgical outcomes.

The virtual twin images participants experience appear translucent and gradually transform into images containing various colors and patterns. This allows participants to identify the presence or absence of a disease. Participants can observe their own brain, implemented as a virtual twin, in detail from various angles and check their heart rate on the virtual twin's virtual heart.

At this event, Dassault Systèmes will introduce its current projects, Living Heart and Living Brain.

These models are augmented reality models of the heart and brain, used to reproduce future patient conditions and test treatment options.

Visitors can touch 3D-printed models of the heart and brain, and monitor the models' movements in real time on a touchscreen using sensors embedded in each part.

The heart model measures visitors' heart rates, and its virtual twin, linked to the heartbeat, pulses in time with the visitor's heartbeat and displays the user's heart rate. The brain model, also linked to a touchscreen, allows visitors to check the function of each organ through its virtual twin.

Additionally, visitors to the Dassault Systèmes booth will be able to experience firsthand how Medidata's clinical research solutions are being utilized in drug and vaccine development through simulated clinical trials.
