Good news for gamers around the world. NVIDIA has unveiled its latest GeForce RTX GPUs for desktops and laptops, along with gaming and studio notebooks.
NVIDIA (CEO Jensen Huang), a leader in AI computing technology, announced the latest gaming-related news in a special speech at CES 2022 on the 5th.
Nvidia announced that more than 160 laptops will feature GeForce RTX GPUs.
Additionally, the company unveiled its latest RTX 3050 GPU for desktops, bringing superior performance and efficiency to even more gamers.
GeForce RTX, available in over 160 laptops
The world's leading manufacturers are releasing more than 160 gaming and studio laptops based on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture.
The latest-generation CPU-based GeForce RTX laptops come in a variety of form factors, including dual-screen, easel, convertible, and 14-inch screens with G-SYNC and 1440p resolution displays for esports.
■ RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti with outstanding performance
NVIDIA has unveiled the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook GPU, bringing an 80 Ti-class GPU to a notebook for the first time.
Equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, the fastest memory ever implemented in a laptop, the RTX 3080 Ti delivers superior performance compared to the desktop GPU, the NVIDIA Titan RTX.
The latest GeForce RTX 3070 Ti delivers 70% faster performance than the RTX 2070 SUPER and 100 frames per second at 1440p resolution.
The Studio platform includes ASUS, MSI, and Razer.) design, and these products use the new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and 3070 Ti laptop GPUs.
RTX 3080 Ti laptops start at $2,499, while RTX 3070 Ti laptops start at $1,499.
The latest laptops featuring the RTX 3080 Ti and 3070 Ti will be available for purchase starting February 1st.
■ Latest GeForce RTX 3050 for Desktop Unveiled
NVIDIA has further expanded its lineup of NVIDIA Ampere architecture-based GPUs with the latest GeForce RTX 3050 for desktops.
Bringing gamers the performance and efficiency of the architecture, the RTX 3050 is the first 50-tier desktop GPU capable of running modern ray-traced games at over 60 frames per second.
The RTX 3050 makes ray tracing, which has become the new standard in gaming, more accessible.
The RTX 3050 with 8GB of GDDR6 memory will start at $249 and will be available worldwide from NVIDIA partners on January 27th.
“GeForce RTX is transforming gaming and opening up vast digital worlds,” said Jeff Fisher, senior vice president of consumer products at NVIDIA. “GeForce will continue to be the premier platform for gamers and creators.”

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
