CJ Logistics Introduces 128 AMRs, Improving Efficiency by 33%

Geek+, a global logistics robot specialist, has begun full-scale expansion into the domestic market by supplying autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to CJ Logistics, the largest logistics company in Korea.

Geek Plus announced on the 11th that it provided 128 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to CJ Logistics.

Geekplus's AMR is used to automate workflows by moving inventory shelves to picking stations where logistics center operators perform picking tasks directly.

The 128 AMRs provided currently cover 83% of the area of the Gunpo logistics center and process 30,000 orders per day.

A CJ Logistics official stated that the company improved operational efficiency by 33% by introducing Geekplus AMR into its Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Geekplus is a global logistics robot company headquartered in Beijing, China, with over 300 global customers and 20,000 unitsWe have sold the upper robot.

It appears that this supply agreement with CJ Logistics will accelerate market expansion in Korea as well.

Lit Fung, Head of Asia-Pacific, UK, and Americas at Geekplus, stated, “Demand for AMRs in Korea has recently increased significantly. Accordingly, Geekplus has formed a dedicated domestic team to support companies equipped with expertise and services in accelerating their digital transformation.”

Kim Kyung-hoon, Head of the TES Technology Research Institute (Management Leader) at CJ Logistics, said, “Based on our experience improving the efficiency and accuracy of the Dongtan Logistics Center using Geekplus’s AMR, we are pleased to introduce AMR to the Gunpo Logistics Center and strengthen our cooperation.”
