Carlsbad, California [July 18, 2013] — Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in providing scalable embedded computing and power supply solutions to OEMs across diverse industries, today announced the launch of a new 1500-watt AC-DC power supply that delivers maximum power across the full input range of 90 - 264 Vac without derating at the low line, unlike many other devices currently on the market.

The LCM1500Q-T-4 is the latest model in Emerson's popular LCM series of AC-DC power supplies, known for delivering high efficiency and reliability at a competitive price. This model is rated for 24 V single output and can be trimmed to ±10%. With a precision digital control loop that optimizes efficiency across a wide load range, the new LCM1500 model delivers efficiency greater than 91% at full load, typical power factor of 0.99, and power density of 12 W/in³. The LCM1500Q-T-4 provides a 5 V standby voltage that enables OEM standby functionality even when equipment is powered off.

With comprehensive industrial and medical safety approvals, the LCM1500Q-T-4 is suitable for industrial applications including powered systems, test and measurement equipment, laser engravers, and factory automation, as well as medical, dental and laboratory applications without patient contact and non-lethal to patients, and telecommunications and datacom equipment.

The quality and reliability of LCM series units result from careful component selection, automated production processes, and precision circuit design. The variable-speed 'Smart Speed' fan uses software control developed by Emerson Network Power to adjust fan speed to match the unit's cooling requirements and load current. As fan speed decreases, not only is power consumption reduced but wear is also minimized, helping extend the unit's lifespan.

The MTBF of the LCM1500 is 500,000 hours or greater, and all models in the series are covered by the manufacturer's 3-year warranty.
