Xilinx Korea (Country Manager Ahn Heung-sik) July 29, 2013 – Xilinx announced that its Series 7 GTH transceivers have passed the 10GBASE-KR LogiCORE™ IP tests conducted by the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Institute (UNH-IOL). As an authoritative institution for testing data networks, the institute verified that the transceivers fully meet UNH-IOL's electrical and protocol specification tests for backplane applications. This achievement enables OEMs to develop high-performance network and data center solutions using 10GBASE-KR LogiCORE IP for IEEE Std 802.3 compliant 10 Gigabit or 40 Gigabit backplanes. Additionally, 40GBASE-KR4 LogiCORE IP can be operated on Virtex®-7 XT and HT devices equipped with GTH transceivers.

In this comprehensive standard test, various devices and boards were used, including the Virtex-7 FPGA VC7215 board with the XC7VX690T-3FFG1927E device embedded.
