'Semicon Korea 2022', the largest domestic exhibition specializing in semiconductor equipment and materials technology, was held to share the latest trends in semiconductor materials and equipment technology and present directions for the development of next-generation semiconductor technology.

'Semicon Korea 2022', the largest domestic event in the electronics industry, was held at COEX in Seoul for three days from February 9 to 11.

This year's 'Semicon Korea 2022' was held both online and offline, alleviating the disappointment of last year's event being held only online due to COVID-19.

In addition, with a positive outlook for the semiconductor industry this year, over 500 semiconductor materials and equipment companies set up 2,000 booths at the exhibition, demonstrating intense business enthusiasm.

The main exhibits include semiconductor production-related equipment, materials, components, sub-systems, facilities, and software.

On the 9th, the first day of the event, numerous industry professionals visited the booths at the COEX venue, as if welcoming the return of 'Semicon Korea 2022' to offline, despite the spread of COVID-19.
At Hall D on the 3rd floor of COEX, semiconductor production equipment manufacturers such as Merck Korea, ASML, ASM, Lasertec, Integris Korea, Nubicom Co., Ltd., Busch Korea, and Jusung Engineering set up booths.

Merck Korea showcased integrated semiconductor material solutions and presented comprehensive solutions for the seven major semiconductor manufacturing processes. At the event, the company operated a booth and delivered educational lectures.

ASML, a Dutch semiconductor equipment company, has unveiled the 'Super B' extreme ultraviolet (EUV) process equipment platform, the most widely used DUV (deep ultraviolet) lithography platform for semiconductor mass production.

NI Nubicom, equipped with state-of-the-art measurement solutions, participated under the theme of 'Lab Modernization,' exhibiting solutions for electronic measurement and testing at the NI booth and providing consultations.

Various programs will be held during the event.

STS (SEMI Technology Symposium), AI Summit, Design Automation, SMART Manufacturing Forum, MEMS & Sensor Summit, MI (Metrology and Inspection) Forum, Sustainable Manufacturing Forum, Market Trend Forum, Semiconductor Mentoring, and the Women-in-Technology Program are scheduled to take place.

In addition, a conference to share the latest semiconductor manufacturing technologies and market trends will be held online.

Starting with keynote speeches by Samsung Electronics, ASML, Hyundai Mobis, and IonQ, approximately 120 semiconductor experts from around the world will share insights through about 20 conferences.
