LG CNS is accelerating digital transformation for factory intelligence by combining 5G with smart factories through the allocation of a new dedicated frequency.

On the 2nd, LG CNS completed the application for 'frequency allocation for 5G mobile communication specialized networks' and the 'registration as a telecommunications carrier with line facilities' to the Ministry of Science and ICT (hereinafter MSIT).

The 5G specialized network (hereinafter Eeum 5G) is a customized network for enterprises that can implement a 5G communication network within a specific range, such as factories and buildings.

Eum 5G operators can build 5G networks directly without going through the three mobile carriers.

In addition to the existing mobile communication network, separate dedicated frequencies (4.7GHz, 28GHz) can be utilized to build an optimized environment for the desired purpose and space.

The industry expects that Eum 5G will be utilized in various ways in DX areas such as smart factories and smart logistics.

LG CNS has also completed its application for a key telecommunications carrier status along with Eeum 5G. Becoming a key telecommunications carrier allows you to provide Eeum 5G services to third-party demand companies as well.

LG CNS plans to accelerate the DX of manufacturing customers by combining 5G with smart factories.

LG CNS plans to help intelligentize factories with its integrated smart factory platform 'Factova,' which is equipped with new IT technologies such as AI, big data, and IoT, and to provide services that overcome the limitations of the existing wireless communication environment by integrating 5G technology.

LG CNS recently successfully completed an Eeum 5G demonstration project targeting a manufacturing company's factory production and monitoring facilities.
