A 23.7% increase year-on-year, resulting in a trade surplus of $7.49 billion.

In February 2022, ICT exports reached a record high, continuing double-digit export growth for 11 consecutive months.

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 14th that ICT exports in February 2022 reached $18.88 billion, a 23.7% increase from the same month last year.

Imports increased 23.9% year-on-year to $11.39 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $7.49 billion.

Semiconductor exports in February reached $10.46 billion, up 24% year-on-year, marking the 20th consecutive month of export growth. Among them, memory semiconductor exports reached $6.34 billion, marking the 18th consecutive month of growth, driven by continued demand from upstream industries such as smartphone launches. System semiconductor exports reached $3.61 billion, driven by a boom in the foundry industry.

Display exports in February reached $2.25 billion, a 39.3% increase year-on-year. This represents the 18th consecutive month of growth, driven by sustained demand for OLEDs. OLED exports reached $1.31 billion, a 56.3% increase year-on-year.

February mobile phone exports fell 4.9% year-on-year to $980 million. While finished product exports fell 37% year-on-year to $270 million, mobile phone component exports increased 18.4% to $710 million, narrowing the decline.

Computer and peripheral device exports increased 47.8% year-on-year to $1.58 billion. Peripheral device exports, reaching $1.5 billion, surged 63.8% year-on-year, leading the growth. SSDs, in particular, surged 69.6% to $1.32 billion.

Exports to all five major countries also increased, marking the 10th consecutive month of growth.

△China ranked first with USD 8.47 billion, followed by △Vietnam ($3.09 billion), △the United States ($2.08 billion), △the EU ($1.22 billion), △Japan ($330 million), and △Others ($3.68 billion).
