Tektronix 5 Series B MSO Upgrades Scalability and Convenience

The 5 Series B MSO has been introduced as a successor to Tektronix's 5 Series MSO oscilloscope, featuring improved performance and convenience.
Tektronix General Manager Kwon Oh-sung gave a presentation on the topic of "Exploring the Latest Oscilloscope Technology Trends Through the 5 Series B MSO" at the e4ds webinar on the 17th.
We introduced a new oscilloscope and explained the latest oscilloscope technology trends.
Manager Kwon explained the general usability, paid options, certification testing, remote control, and probes of the 5 Series B MSO.
Manager Kwon said that the 5 Series B MSO has excellent performance, such as signal quality, and convenience, such as a UI that allows users to easily take measurements.
In addition, it was explained that the AFG, which was an optional feature in the existing product, was upgraded from 50MHz to 100MHz, and an Aux in port was added.
Looking at the key features of the 5 Series B MSO, first of all, it is optimized for touch gestures such as zoom, allowing for intuitive viewing of the screen, and 15.It is possible to operate a 6-inch touchscreen.
In addition, through expansion, it is possible to achieve resolution up to 16 bits, enabling more precise measurements, and it allows viewing analog signals in the frequency domain and includes an automatic measurement addition function.
By simply swapping out the SSD, users can select and use the OS; the oscilloscope functions as a kind of PC, performing various tasks, and since the UI remains unchanged regardless of the OS used, it can be used without any sense of unfamiliarity.
In addition, it supports three-phase analysis and signal integrity analysis. While previously triggering was done using signals input into the oscilloscope channels, triggering is done through the AUX IN input, allowing the AUX to be measured without channel loss.
In addition, it supports various probes through the Tek VPI multi-purpose interface.
Manager Kwon conducted demos of History Mode, Fast Frame, and Spectrum View during the lecture.
The 5 Series B MSO can perform compliance tests up to Automotive Ethernet and Standard Ethernet.
In the latter part of the lecture, useful remote control features for the pandemic era were introduced.
We introduced software that allows you to control all operations and check waveforms with the 5 Series B MSO, and use the oscilloscope UI exactly as it is on a PC.
Users can utilize storage space through Tek Drive Cloud and retrieve oscilloscope signals directly.
In addition, various probes provided by Tektronix were also introduced.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
