
August 23, 2013 – Linear Technology Korea (CEO Hong Sa-kwak) announced the release of the Zero Drift Amplifier (Product Name: LTC2057HV) featuring a self-compensating circuit. This product offers high DC precision and stability under variations in temperature, time, input range, and supply voltage. Featuring a 5µV input offset voltage, 0.025µV/°C offset drift, and 220nVP-P low-frequency noise in the absence of 1/f noise, the LTC2057HV operates at a 60V (±30V) power supply while providing a dynamic range of over 140dB. This wide dynamic range allows small signals to be amplified into larger signals without saturating the amplifier or losing precision characteristics. For applications requiring a power supply voltage of up to 36V, a lower power version of the LTC2057 is available.
Specified for a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, the LTC2057 and LTC2057HV provide an optimal combination of low voltage noise, low current noise, and low input bias current, while the zero-drift architecture cancels out 1/f noise. Common spurious artifacts associated with zero-drift amplifiers are suppressed, further extending dynamic range, stability, and usable signal bandwidth. The input common-mode range includes a negative rail, and the output is rail-to-rail shift. This makes the LTC2057 ideal for single and dual-power industrial, instrumentation, and automotive applications.
LTC2057 is specified to operate at a 30V power supply, and LTC2057HV can operate at a maximum of 60V power supply. Both products operate from a 4.75V power supply and are standardized for temperature ranges of -40°C to 85°C and -40°C to 125°C. The LTC2057 is available in 3mm x 3mm DFN, MSOP-8, and SOIC-8 packages, as well as in an MSOP-10 package with a pinout. This pinout allows a guard ring to be easily routed near the input, preserving high precision and low noise performance at high source impedances.
