Supporting the Global Joint Statement on Consumer IoT Security

Secure Thingz and Hi-Lo Systems have partnered to provide secure programming and provisioning services across the Asia Pacific region.

SecureThings, a subsidiary of IAR Systems Group, announced on the 21st that it has entered into a partnership with HiLo Systems.

This partnership is intended to help both companies' customers address the recently announced Global Joint Statement on Consumer IoT Security.

Recently, at the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Council of the Connected World, several organizations, including SecureThings, reached an agreement on IoT security.

The new Consumer IoT Security Statement of Support outlines five key capabilities that define consumer IoT security standards.

By placing cyber risks at the top, we demonstrate that cross-border cyberattacks, misinformation, and the growing inequality between those with and without access to digital services are among the most serious short- to medium-term risks facing governments and businesses.

In particular, threats such as ransomware and nation-state attacks continue to increase.To deter cyberattacks and mitigate risks, it is crucial to manufacture devices within a secure foundation and protected supply chain.
