STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor company serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, and Sungji Industrial, a global supplier of wireless connectivity, are changing the landscape of the LPWA market by announcing a series of products built on ST's STM32WL, a Sigfox and LoRa System-on-Chip (SoC).

STMicroelectronics and Sungji Industrial announced a series of LSM modules for Sungji Industrial's sub-GHz LPWAN, built on ST's STM32WL, the world's first Sigfox and LoRa SoC.

Powered by the STM32WL, the LSM100A, LSM110A, and LSM200A modules support both Sigfox and LoRa LPWAN technologies.

It is said to optimize sub-GHz wireless connectivity for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications by combining small size, low power consumption, and cost efficiency.

The LSM100A supports RC1, RC3, RC5, RC6, and RC7, the LSM110A supports RC2 and RC4 Sigfox frequency bands, and the LSM200A supports Sigfox Monarch functionality.

These modules contain customer firmware inside the module. It is also available as a product that supports an API (Application Programming Interface) that can be integrated.

The LSM100A and LSM110A modules measure 14.0mm x 15.0mm x 2.8mm and are available in half-through hole type.

LSM100A and LSM110A are pin-to-pin compatible.

For LoRa connectivity, the LSM100A operates from 863MHz to 923MHz, the LSM110A operates from 902MHz to 928MHz, and the LSM200A operates in all frequency bands from 863MHz to 928MHz.

All of these modules support LoRaWAN as well as P2P, and are Sigfox Verified and LoRaWAN certified in addition to CE/FCC approvals.
