Universal Robots, a collaborative robot company, is continuing its collaboration with MiR (Mobile Industrial Robots), a specialist in Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), by building the world's largest state-of-the-art robot hub.

Universal Robots announced that it will build the world's largest state-of-the-art robot hub in Mir and Odense, the center of Denmark's robotics industry.

The building, scheduled to begin construction on April 20 and be completed in early 2024, can accommodate up to 600 employees and has a site area of approximately 20,000 square meters.

Universal Robots and Mir announced that they invested approximately 325 million Danish kroner (about 59 billion won) for their new home.

Meanwhile, Universal Robots and Mir both recorded growth of over 40% in 2021, and said that both companies needed larger facilities as they plan to hire more than 200 new employees this year.

Universal Robots achieved sales of $97 million (approximately 118.7 billion won) in the fourth quarter of last year, recording total sales of $311 million (approximately 380.7 billion won), a 41% increase from the previous year.

Mir only in December last year It sold approximately 300 autonomous mobile robots and recorded total sales of $64 million (about 78.3 billion won), a 42% increase from the previous year.
