300 companies , 900 booths, IIoT Innovation Day, Seminar Room B, Hall D, on the 8th

As contactless work becomes more widespread in the COVID-19 era and manufacturing companies are busy building advanced smart factories for the post-COVID-19 era, a platform has been created to showcase the technologies of domestic and international companies.

The '2022 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition', the largest automation exhibition in Asia, will be held at COEX in Seoul from the 6th to the 8th.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman Lee Gwan-seop of the Korea International Trade Association, CEO Lee Dong-gi of COEX, Vice Chairman Kim Tae-hwan of the Korea Intelligence Association, CEO Kim Gyeong-rok of Schneider Electric, and President Lee Seok-joong of Laon People.

This year's '2022 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition' will provide a variety of services to domestic and foreign companies, such as holding an 'Overseas Buyer Invitation Video Consultation' for SFAW participating companies to help them develop overseas markets, promoting participating companies' products through an online exhibition hall, and providing online business matching services.

Industrial companies at COEX Halls A and BAimex (International Automation Exhibition), a showcase of innovative products and solutions for the digital transformation, will be held. 300 companies will exhibit in 900 booths, showcasing sensors, PLCs, automation components, and drives. Participating companies include organizer Cheomdan Co., Ltd., Universal Robots, Samik HDS Co., Ltd., and Korea Integrated Technology Co., Ltd.

The "Korean Vision Show" in Hall B will feature 100 companies and 200 booths. The latest machine vision products and solutions will be showcased, along with industrial cameras and image processing software. Participating companies include Elite, Trivision Co., Ltd., and TS Corporation.

COEX Halls C and D hosted the "Smart Factory Expo." This exhibition, showcasing the future of manufacturing, featured a model factory presented by the Smart Factory Promotion Team, which oversees the domestic smart factory promotion project, and participation from supply and demand companies. Exhibits included smart factory solutions, industrial robots, IIoT, and smart sensors. Companies such as Nokia, STMicroelectronics, and Schneider Electric participated.

Hall D also offers a space for conferences and seminars for participating companies. At the "2022 International Science Business Belt Functional Zone Technology Transfer Briefing," held at 1:00 PM on the 7th, representatives from the Korea Automotive Research Institute and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology will present their respective technologies.

The "2022 IIoT Innovation DAY" seminar will be held at 10:30 AM on the 8th in Hall B of the D Hall Seminar Hall. Presenters including Lee Soon-yeol, CEO of IIoT, and Kang Ji-hoon, Team Leader at Ericsson-LG, will explore smart factory trends for implementing true digital twins in the post-COVID-19 era and the industrial communication networks needed to build them.
