Participating in SIMTOS2022 to showcase automation and digitalization technologies

Global technology supplier Korea Trumpf Co., Ltd. will participate in SIMTOS2022 to showcase its differentiated portfolio of new technologies and smart factory solutions, presenting a vision for improving customers' production efficiency.

Korea Trump Co., Ltd. announced that it will participate in SIMTOS2022 (The 19th Seoul International Manufacturing Technology Show), the largest domestic manufacturing technology exhibition hosted by the Korea Machine Tool Industry Association, held at KINTEX from Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27.

At this event, Korea Trump Co., Ltd. will unveil its differentiated portfolio, including new laser processing technology, automated equipment, pipe processing machines, and welding cells, as well as newly launched smart factory solutions.

Korea Trumpf Co., Ltd. stated that it will provide solutions that contribute to customer success by reducing pre- and post-processing steps and improving production efficiency through automated and digitalized technologies.

The main solutions to be showcased at this exhibition are as follows:

■ EdgeLine Bevel: Equipped with EdgeLine Bevel technology, a unique feature in sheet metal manufacturing. EdgeLine Bevel creates beveled corners (bevelling) by cutting the contour of a part.

■ Nano Joint: TruLaser's newly upgraded nano joint technology minimizes joints, enabling quick and easy product separation.

■ Active Speed Control: Smart cutting control technology Active Speed Control adjusts the cutting speed according to the cutting situation, analyzes the cutting quality in real time through a sensor system, and automatically controls the cutting speed based on the results.

■ Smart Factory Software Solution Oseon: Oseon is a solution that streamlines production processes and improves productivity. It can increase productivity by up to 20% by digitalizing production processes and material flows. Oseon consists of three stages (Go – Grow – Flow), allowing for gradual introduction tailored to the customer’s situation.

■ TruLaser 1030 fiber: The TruLaser 1030 fiber is an upgraded version of the TruLaser 1000 fiber series with the addition of the Highspeed Eco function, further enhancing cost-effectiveness.

■ Material Buffer: The TruLaser 1030 fiber, LiftMaster Linear Basic, and Material Buffer, a sheet metal storage unit for unmanned automation, will be combined to create a smart factory hardware solution that can be seen directly at the exhibition site.

■ Laser pipe cutting – TruLaser Tube 3000 fiber: The cost-effective TruLaser Tube 3000 fiber is equipped with automation and offers options for round pipes as well as L and U profiles, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

■ Robotic Arc Welding Cell – TruArc Weld 1000: TRUMPF is unveiling the TruArc Weld 1000, the first automatic arc welding system launched in Korea. Unlike conventional industrial robots, it is equipped with a collaborative robot known as a “cobot,” and welding is done through interaction between the worker and the cobot.

Kim Dong-woo, managing director of Trump Korea's machine tool division, said, "The market, which had been stagnant since COVID-19, showed some signs of recovery last year, but it is difficult to see a positive outlook for this year's economy due to the overseas situation and GDP outlook." He added, "Trump Korea aims to provide entry-level machines, systems, and solutions to those starting out in the sheet metal processing field or customers considering introducing additional equipment, and to provide solutions that reduce the burden on customers and help them become competitive on their own."
