"We must develop inclusive services that include the transportation vulnerable so that they are not excluded"
We must fulfill our responsibilities to provide interconnected mobility services.

Ji Young-jo, President of Hyundai Motor Innovation, presented a vision for building a human-centered integrated mobility ecosystem and emphasized the need to establish global cooperative relationships for the development of the automotive industry.

On the 26th, CEO Ji Young-jo took the stage as a speaker at the Davos Forum, held under the theme "History at a Turning Point," and announced his vision for building a human-centered mobility ecosystem.

He stated that automakers, parts suppliers, and mobility companies must actively strive to integrate inorganic, scattered mobility services as 'mobility solution providers.'

In particular, it was emphasized that it must perform roles such as implementing services based on the analysis of changes in traffic demand, building a multi-modal service platform to enable organic services, and developing inclusive services that include the transportation vulnerable so that they are not excluded.

Hyundai Motor Group also stated that it is striving to build a human-centered integrated mobility ecosystem.

Last January, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JTC, a Singaporean government agency, to analyze future traffic demand and are conducting an analysis of future traffic demand, which is essential for building optimal mobility services.

Based on this, Hyundai Motor Group plans to introduce demand-responsive buses and autonomous buses tailored to each region in the Jurong Innovation District, a smart industrial complex in Singapore.We plan to develop optimal mobility services such as robotaxis.

Hyundai Motor Group has been pursuing the establishment of an integrated mobility service platform since September 2020 as part of the Incheon Smart City Challenge project.

Integrated mobility service is a mobility and integrated payment service that connects various modes of transportation, such as demand-responsive buses and electric scooters, for the convenience of passengers' movement, and can be used with a single smartphone app.

In addition, last August, in conjunction with the World Economic Forum’s project (Inclusivity Quotient Initiative), a car-hailing service called ‘EnableLA’ was piloted in LA to improve mobility for the disabled, the elderly, and other transportation vulnerable groups.

Through this, the plan is to identify areas for improvement in vehicle and in-vehicle technology where the automaker can contribute, apply them to future vehicles and services, and embrace various vulnerable road users.

President Ji Young-jo stated, “'Mobility solution providers' must fulfill their responsibilities by coordinating everything from the construction of service platforms to the development of individual services to ensure that mobility services are interconnected for the convenience of users.”
