Schneider Electric Korea, a global company in the energy management and automation sector, is practicing ESG management by awarding scholarships to 13 high school students and striving to foster talent and contribute to the local community.

Schneider Electric Korea announced that it distributed scholarships to 13 high school students majoring in electrical and electronics engineering on the 3rd at its Magok office as part of the 'Wings of Dreams Project'.

The 'Wings of Dreams Project' is Schneider Electric Korea's talent development initiative that supports scholarships and industrial site tours for high school students majoring in electrical and electronics engineering, marking its 22nd anniversary this year.

The scholarship program was conducted through a 1% payroll donation program by Schneider Electric employees and executives. Beyond financial support, Schneider Electric encourages employees' volunteer activities to expand exchanges with students.

This year, the company is providing various benefits to electrical and electronics engineering students through programs such as the Iksan Smart Factory tour, which had been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Schneider Electric stated that in practicing ESG management, it is continuously developing decarbonization technology and establishing and implementing 11 specific goals across six areas: climate, resources, trust, equal opportunity, generations, and regions. The company is currently conducting programs including a carbon footprint reduction campaign, an eco-friendly vehicle charging cost support program, and volunteer participation events.
