Service development through data linkage and combination between mobility and home appliances
Promotion of a pilot project for indoor and outdoor autonomous robot delivery services

LG Electronics is partnering with Kakao Mobility to develop innovative technologies and services to provide a differentiated mobility customer experience.

LG Electronics and Kakao Mobility announced on the 22nd that they have signed a business agreement to jointly develop services and expand the ecosystem through technology collaboration in the field of future mobility.

The two companies plan to cooperate in various fields, including discovering valuable customer experiences through research and development of in-car user experience (In-Car UX), promoting demonstration projects for indoor and outdoor autonomous robot delivery services, developing new services through data linkage and combination between mobility and home appliance businesses, collaborating on 'Soft V2X' (communication between vehicles and all entities) smartphone solutions for pedestrian safety, and expanding the startup ecosystem.

Through this business agreement, LG Electronics is focusing on discovering differentiated technologies and services based on customer experience that will lead the future mobility market.

LG Electronics plans to leverage Kakao Mobility's unique platform operation know-how and advanced data analysis capabilities based on the technological capabilities and experience it has accumulated in infotainment systems, robots, data convergence, and communications.

The two companies will also conduct a pilot project for indoor and outdoor robot delivery services.

By combining LG Electronics' autonomous robots and delivery solutions with Kakao Mobility's control platform, they plan to establish various services, such as delivering goods inside buildings, and collaborate on developing services linked to diverse industries in the future.

Also, Kakao Mobility We plan to discover and verify new services by applying LG Electronics' automotive HMI (Human Machine Interface) solutions to vehicles equipped with the platform.

Previously, the two companies began their collaboration in the mobility sector in earnest starting with the exhibition of 'LG OMNIPOD' at the Kakao Mobility Tech Conference held earlier this year.

LG OmniPod is a concept model of a future autonomous vehicle created by interpreting the vehicle as a new extension of the home, and it can be used not only as an office space but also as an entertainment space for watching movies, camping, etc.
