The Embedded Software and Systems Industry Association and four SW Meister High Schools have joined hands to foster embedded talent.

The Embedded Software and Systems Industry Association (Chairman Ji Chang-geon, hereinafter KESSIA), under the Korea Information Industry Association, signed a business agreement on the 23rd with domestic SW Meister High Schools (Daedeok, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Busan) to link software education and employment.

Through this MOU, KESSIA and SW Meister High School agreed to cooperate on: joint use of educational content and platforms; recruitment linkage and talent information sharing; personnel exchange and planning of teacher training programs.

On this day, KESSIA and SW Meister High School discussed plans to update the existing educational curriculum based on skills required in the field, and announced that they would continue their ongoing collaboration to supply SW talent with growth potential to the embedded industry.

In addition, representatives from various IT companies, including Hancom Intelligence, Orchestro, Neocartech, Bitflow, Funus, and FineOne Communications, attended to discuss the workforce status of the embedded software industry and the relationship between talent and companies. A business meeting was held with agenda items including solutions to address the mismatch between supply and demand and policy recommendations regarding workforce development.

An official from the association's secretariat stated, "Currently, there is a significant shortage of embedded software development personnel in the industry, and government support is urgently needed to establish a workforce training ecosystem to overcome this. To address this, we will work together with SW Meister High Schools through this MOU to supply high-quality talent to the sector and lay the foundation for the revitalization of the embedded software industry."

The Embedded Software & Systems Industry Association is a private association established with the goal of promoting mutual growth within the embedded industry and contributing to its development. It operates programs to foster excellent software talent, including the Smart Car Future Forum, the Embedded Software Competition, the Training of Specialized Personnel for New Industry Convergence Embedded Systems (Master's), and the Specialized Technical Training Program for Science and Engineering Graduates (Undergraduate).
