Cisco Systems and Global NC (GNC) are joining hands to build a world-class Korean smart port system.

Cisco announced on the 30th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Global NC (GNC), a communications network and IT automation system company, to collaborate on IoT business for the construction of a Korean-style smart port.

Through this agreement, the two companies will combine Global NC's IoT expertise with Cisco's operational technology (OT) and information and communications technology (IT) to establish a smart port strategy and discover new business opportunities.

Cisco is building an IT automation platform based on its network products to quickly respond and support domestic manufacturing and public sector customers.

In the future, we plan to participate in joint research on port infrastructure automation projects in Busan, Incheon, Gwangyang, and other cities, and cooperate with each other to build a platform to jointly respond to the establishment of a world-class Korean smart port system.

Global NC will jointly develop core Korean smart port technologies by combining its own smart port-related OT technology with Cisco's IT technology, and will continue to collaborate to achieve intelligence beyond automation.

The two companies will pursue registration as Cisco Ecosystem Partners through future joint development solutions. Through this, they plan to increase brand awareness in overseas markets and actively collaborate on sales activities to expand into the global market.
