Five of Korea's eight core conglomerates have adopted Claroty's solutions.
Cyberattacks that threaten life are becoming more frequent than financial threats.

Claroty, a global cyber-physical systems (CPS) security company, announced that it will target the Korean market with an expanded IoT (XIoT) security solution tailored to the domestic environment.

Clarotti held a press conference on the 8th and announced its plans for future domestic market activities, including establishing a Korean corporation and strengthening its domestic market strategy.

Yaniv Vardi, CEO of Clarotti, recently emphasized the importance of security, saying that cyberattacks are evolving from financial to life-threatening.

The attack on a water treatment facility in Miami, USA, which threatened the lives of numerous people by modifying chemical levels, is a prime example, and the severity and frequency of attacks are increasing.

Established in 2015 to protect against threats to physical environments such as industrial, building enterprise, IoT, and hospitals, Claroty announced that it established a Korean subsidiary after focusing on the Korean market, which is experiencing rapid interest in and adoption of new technologies such as smart factories.

According to market research firm Gartner, South Korea ranks 8th in the world for the number of IoT-connected devices, and many domestic hospitals are recently introducing cloud-based healthcare systems to create a stable and efficient healthcare environment.

While this adoption is encouraged to improve productivity, the increased number of integrated and connected devices and systems increases the risk exposure, requiring greater attention to related security.

Claroty builds a zero-trust security architecture to proactively detect and mitigate threats before they impact operations.

Additionally, it can visualize assets with very high accuracy and check them in real time, reducing the risk of operational disruption due to OT threats.

Claroty's solutions are currently used in over 1,000 diverse industrial sites in over 50 countries.

Recently, we have established a branch in Korea and are promoting our marketability in Korea through partnerships with leading domestic companies.

He also forecasted that the number of devices connected to the IoT will reach 50 billion in the near future, and emphasized the importance of security for various physical endpoints in Korea's autonomous driving and smart city initiatives.

Eun Seong-yool, the head of the Korean branch, said, “Even before the branch was established, five of the eight core Korean conglomerates had adopted Claroty’s solutions,” and added, “We are establishing partnerships specialized for regional industries, such as industrial complexes centered around Busan, Ulsan, Honam, and Chungcheong, and preparing cooperation plans.”
